Origin.
It all began back in 2020 when COVID 19 hit. I was studying a Bachelor degree with Honours of Industrial Design at RMIT. During my 2nd year, I had to build something from waste material, so I built my small Chihuahua x Pomeranian a dog kennel which was made from construction waste.
I posted the end results to Facebook and then, business slowly came my way. This eventually formed ‘Coastal Kennels’. Coastal Kennels took off as it was a bespoke business that specialised in shelters that are not very common. I built a wide range of products which can seen below.

Dog crates, dog kennels, dog ramps, cat enclosures, chicken coops, microbat boxes, possum boxes, sugar glider boxes and other various bird boxes.
I am someone who likes to be hands on and always busy. I do not like standing around doing nothing so I am always up for a challenge. I like to design things as that has always been a passion of mine. I am passionate about my work and am always looking forward to my next project.

Cat Enclosures
Cat enclosures are safe spaces where your cats can explore your backyard without having the fear of them escaping and getting run over by cars.
I designed and built all of these enclosures.

Dog Kennels
Dogs vary in all shapes and sizes so I strived to create bespoke kennels that were tailored to the dog.
This allowed the dog to feel safe and cozy in it’s new house.

Animal Boxes
Animal boxes were made in the hope that they can provide shelter for our local wildlife.
They were all handmade and made from hardwood exterior plywood with two coats of oil applied.

Chicken Coops
Chicken coops provide a secure place for your chooks to rest unbothered by the weather. They are protected from predators and provide safe spaces for them to lay their eggs.

Dog Ramps
Dog ramps make life for the dog alot easier. I had a few clients that had elderly dogs, smaller dogs and even a dog that was petrified of stairs.
